On February 23rd, a press conference was held on the "Three Year Action Plan for Comprehensive Improvement of Health Service Capacity in Jiangxi Province (2023-2025)".

The "Three Year Action Plan" of Jiangxi Province plans to implement 7 key capacity improvement actions, 28 key tasks, and 58 key projects, striving to achieve "breakthroughs in one year, results in two years, and significant changes in three years" in the province's health service capacity within three years.

Nanchang will firmly adhere to the goal of "satisfying the people and gaining social recognition", and make every effort to build a "4+2+2" medical and health service system. The "4+2+2% system" refers to four strong municipal comprehensive hospitals (Nanchang First Hospital, Nanchang People's Hospital, Nanchang Hongdu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital), two leading specialized hospitals (Nanchang Municipal Hospital, Nanchang Mental Health Center), and two public health service centers (Nanchang Emergency Center, Nanchang Center for Disease Control and Prevention). The "4+2+2" medical and health service system will complement and coordinate with the provincial medical system in Nanchang to achieve high-quality health service resources throughout the summer in Nanchang.

Nanchang will focus on the development of regional medical and health connotation, accelerate the capacity building in seven aspects including public health, medical services, grassroots health services, and traditional Chinese medicine services, and establish a medical prevention coordination mechanism between public hospitals and disease control institutions.

By the end of 2025, 30 municipal level clinical key specialties, 8 provincial level clinical key specialties, and 3 national level clinical key specialties will be established.

At the same time, 100% of secondary and above traditional Chinese medicine hospitals have rehabilitation (medicine) departments, 100% of tertiary public hospitals implement the chief expert system for public health, more than 50% of urban communities have childcare service institutions, and 70% of secondary and above comprehensive hospitals have geriatric medicine departments to provide the public with higher quality, more convenient, and more satisfactory medical and health services.

It is reported that Nanchang City will accelerate the reform of county-level medical institutions, and Nanchang County, Jinxian County, Anyi County, and Xinjian District will form a close county-level medical community. Strengthen the health protection of "one elderly, one primary" and improve the universal childcare service system.

The city and county levels will invest 12 billion yuan to build 25 medical and health projects, and the municipal finance will invest more than 300 million yuan annually in the development of health care, ensuring the comprehensive completion of all tasks in the three-year action plan.
